We hear, and no doubt you have too, a lot of horror stories about building a new home. Unfortunately, in some cases, not finding the right building company CAN bring those suburban myths to life. But NOT with us.

At GJ Gardner Homes we stand by our promise to you to be the best building company in New Zealand (and recently our efforts in this regard were validated through our winning the 2020 Reader's Digest Awards most Trusted Brand in Home Builders, not for the first time).

When you design with us, what you will see are the aesthetic details of what will become your beautiful new home. What you don't see are the roots of the home, the structure and foundations that are necessary to create a build that will continue to work perfectly with your site for years to come. Too often in the initial design phase, many housing companies don't take this into account, subsequently incurring additional costs later on in the process. Costs that are passed on to you. At GJ Gardner Homes we provide you with accurate site plans and realistic pricing from the start - no unwelcome surprises.

We also avoid "Provisional Sums" where possible. A Provisional Sum is an amount of money allocated when we don't have an accurate cost for an item, effectively an estimate within the proposal price and an exposure to you. Our quotes are always accompanied by a detailed schedule of what's included in your new home build and if we do need to include "Provisional Sums" we always ensure that they are priced realistically. In most cases all PS Sums at quote stage are fixed amounts by the time of your building contract.
